They met at a hockey game through mutual friends and went out for drinks after. She was nervous, but he took her hand and led her to the pool table. They never could have guessed that within the next year they would fall in love, get married, and have a baby girl on the way. But when you find your person, you just know.
We met up with the Orellanas on a beautiful, windy evening. With just three weeks left until their baby's due date, Elicia was glowing and Franklyn watched her with the sweetest smile on his face.

How did you tell him you were pregnant?
He was playing video games and I just placed the test in front of him and he jumped up. He was definitely shocked.
What are you looking forward to most about seeing him as a dad?
I'm really excited to see him open up as a girl dad because I know she's gonna have him wrapped around her finger the second she's here. He's very protective and supportive. He barely lets me do anything now because he doesn't want me overdoing it.
What do you love most about Franklyn?
It's really hard to say what I love most about him. He makes me laugh all the time.. even when I'm mad at him. He's very kind and odd and he makes every day interesting.

How did you feel when you found out she was pregnant?
When I found out she was pregnant I had just lost a game of Apex so I was a bit annoyed. I noticed Elicia put something down on my desk and I looked at it and it was a positive pregnancy test. In that moment I went from being annoyed to shocked to instantly feeling excited because I secretly wanted a baby.
What are you looking forward to most about becoming a dad?
Creating moments for my daughter to look back at when she's grown.
What kind of mom do you think Elicia will be?
Elicia is going to be an amazing mother. This baby hit the jack pot.
What do you love most about Elicia?
I love Elicia's eyes. I also love her just being around me. Makes me feel like I'm home.
